Plastic Slip Sheets are the practical, economical and environmentally sound alternative to wooden pallets and fibre slip sheets.
Made primarily of recycled high-density polyethene (HDPE), slip sheets are designed to replace or supplement wooden pallets in transportation and warehouse applications.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Plastic Slip Sheets provide an economical material handling solution for applications that involve push-pull devices. Using this device the flat PE sheet is placed under a unitized load allowing it to be mobilized. The top surface of the sheet has a greater coefficient of friction (COF) that allows for the product to remain motionless. The bottom surface, known as the slip area, has far less COF, allowing for the unitized load to move freely.
SLIP SHEETS IN ACTION
ADVANTAGES OF SLIP SHEETS
- Cheaper than pallets
- No maintenance
- Lower handling costs
- Reduced loading/unloading time
- Eliminate wooden pallet certification
- Higher tensile strength (pull resistance)
- Easy to make custom sizes
- Recyclable
- Reusable
- Low replacement cost
- Maximise Warehouse Space
- Eliminates need for pallet exchange
- Minimal weight
- Bacteria resistant
- Moisture resistant
- More room to ship goods
- High COF non-slip surface
WHO USES JMP SLIP SHEETS?
Many companies across the world are saving considerable amounts of money by using slip sheets. By converting suppliers from shipping on wooden pallets to shipping on slip sheets some companies are capable of reducing their packaging and transportation costs by over a million dollars annually.
Slip sheets cost less than pallets; weigh less, saving transport costs; and are only a fraction the thickness of pallets, thus increasing space and improving the efficiency of truck loading. These companies can then reuse the slip sheets when distributing goods to their own customers.
